Details: This is a spectacular and rare treasure. The cameo is carved with exquisite detail, perfectly utilizing the multi-colored agate stone to enhance the female subject in profile. The cameo is framed by old mine cut and rose cut diamonds and triangular cut emeralds. The bale is original and is also adorned with an emerald and rose cut diamonds. There is a pin mechanism on its reverse side.

This beautiful, Georgian Revival piece has age appropriate wear, but is in good antique condition. Georgian jewelry was designed to reflect candlelight and the setting contains foil behind the stones that can rust with prolonged submersion in water. As with any piece this old you want to be careful not to wear it too hard and to take it off for heavy labor.
